Djibouti, Turkey Presidents discuss on enhancing cooperation, maritime security

Antalya(Mogadishu24)-President of the Djibouti, Ismael Omar Guelleh welcomed the Turkish initiative which offered a valuable platform for dialogue on our world’s challenges during his participation in the 3rd Diplomatic Forum of Antalya in Turkey.

In his speech, he advocated for international diplomacy based on equality and tolerance, beyond ideological camps. Among other things, he denounced the disastrous humanitarian situation of the Palestinian people, calling on the international community to act to end the occupation.

“The President also had a fruitful talks with President Erdogan. They reaffirmed the solidity of the secular friendship between their two peoples. The two countries have growing partnerships in a number of areas such as trade, education and maritime security”, Office of the Presidency said.

“This meeting is a testament to the determination of the President to always strengthen the privileged ties between Djibouti and Turkey”, the statement added.
