Jigjiga(Mogadishu24)-President of the Somali Regional State in Ethiopia, Mustafe Omer laid down the foundation of the General Hospital for Mothers and Children in Qabridahar city in Qoraxey region this week.

The building of this hospital is expected to take part a bigger contribution to covering needs of the health services of the region and neighboring regions.

President Mustafe said that the construction activity is to be completed within only six months’ period.

” The cost of the hospital construction will be 150 Ethiopian Birr and we will have a modern health facility after six months, it will serve for patients mainly mothers and children in the region”, Mustafe said.

The Somali Region in Ethiopia was making speedy progresses during the past five years in areas of social development including building key infrastructures like roads, water projects, schools, agricultural farms and health sectors.
