Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre on Monday travelled to Nairobi, Kenya to join the 3rd Session of the Kenya-Somalia Joint Commission for Cooperation.

“Kenya is hosting the 3rd Session of the Kenya-Somalia Joint Commission for Cooperation (JCC) from 3rd to 6th May, 2024. The JCC will be followed by the visit of Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia H.E. Hamza Abdi Bare”, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kenya said in statement during the opening session of the JCC two days ago.

The clustetered sessions seek to bolster relations in different sectors such as trade, infrastructure, security, agriculture, tourism, health, education and blue economy among others.

The outcomes of the senior officials session will be considered by the JCC ministerial session scheduled for 6th May 2024 according to the statement.

Today’s session will be led by the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Kenya H.E. Dr. Musalia Mudavadi, alongside his counterpart H.E. Ahmed Moalin Fiqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
