Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Mogadishu Football Stadium will on Monday afternoon host exiting final regional tournament between Hirshabelle and Galmudug States with participation of thousands of football fans supporting the two teams.

Police and Security forces were stationed at the venue and all roads leading to the Stadium to ensure the safety and security of footballers and supporters going to watch the game according to the Police.

Police requested from the Public to take part in ensuring the peace and secuirty before and after the game. “The sports is an integration among the community”, The Police said in a brief statement, named message of peace.

At least two people were killed and others injured after suicide bomber blew himself near Mogadishu Stadium during the last football game in the capital last week.

Despite security challenges and Police and Security forces’ efforts to ensure the securiyt, On-going regional tournaments attracted more than 40,000 spectators coming the venue to watch the games.
