Dubai(Mogadishu24)-The President of Djibouti, Ismaïl Omar Guelleh has on Monday inaugurated the third Djibouti International Trade Fair, aimed at showcasing the economy, innovation, and commercial dimensions of Djibouti.

The event was attended by Prime Minister Abdoulkadir Kamil Mohamed, Chairman of Djibouti’s Chamber of Commerce Yusuf Musa Dawaleh, Minister of Education Mustafa Mohamed Mohamud, exhibitors, visitors, and other top government officials.

The Djibouti International Trade Fair illustrates new opportunities, fruitful partnerships, and collaboration in different sectors.

President Ismail Omar Guelleh stated that this event will attract investors to Djibouti and strengthen its position as a regional trade hub.

“I had the honour of inaugurating the 3rd edition of the Djibouti International Trade Fair, a showcase of the economic attractiveness of our beautiful country. With more than 200 exhibitors, this major event strengthens Djibouti’s positioning as a regional hub,” President Guelleh said.

After the opening ceremony, the president engaged in one-on-one discussions with local and international exhibitors to explore investment opportunities, technological innovations, and the diversity of products and services.

The President added that this important event will promote Djibouti’s products to international traders as well as foster opportunities for financial cooperation.

Over the years, Djibouti has transformed its institutions, including finance, trade and investment, health, water, housing, and statistical and data institutions.

Its strategic location in Africa and unique natural resources have positioned Djibouti as a key trade hub on the continent, attracting investments and strengthening bilateral relations with countries, including France, the United States, Russia, Italy, China, and several Arab nations.
