Garowe(Mogadishu24)-President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Thursday morning landed in Garowe, the administrative capital of Puntland State, in order, to attend the the inauguration ceremony of Said Abdullahi Deni who was re-elected as president in Puntland on January 8, 2024.

President Deni welcomed President Hassan and his delegation at the airport and led him to the State House to hold meeting over region’s progress and post election.

President Said Abdullahi Deni was not the Federal Government’s favor candidate during Puntland State Presidential Presidential election as there were conflict between the two sides.

President Hassan is expected to solve the differences between the Federal and the Federal member State, Puntland State after his participation of the inauguration ceremony of President, Said Abdullahi Deni who would be the 7th leadership to have this region since its foundation in 1998.

Reports say that Jubaland State President Ahmed Mohamed Islam(Madobe)’s participation was not confirmed yet, but Galmudug, Hirshabelle and Southwest States will be there.

But President Hassan’s appearance in Garowe comes a day after the he concluded his foreign trip in which he paid in Egypt and Qatar during this week.
