Dhusamareb(Mogadishu24)-Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud reiterated the government’s commitment to the offensive against Al-Shabaab militants on Thursday.The president stated that the war is in its final stages, with the group eradicated from most of the areas they previously controlled.He issued a stern warning against engaging with the Al-Shabaab group, stating that those who support or collaborate with them for tribal reasons are part of the threats posed by the terrorist organization.“The individuals providing support to Al-Shabaab are effectively aiding in its destructive actions and contributing to the suffering caused by the very group they support,” President Hassan said.He added that those who provide financial support to the group will be held accountable.“We should distance ourselves from such individuals, including those providing financial support to Al-Shabaab due to their tribal affiliations.
