Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-The Somali National Army on Saturday morning arrested Al-Shabaab commander, Mowlid Ali Dhuhulow after conducting a special operation at areas between Masagaway and Waninle in Galgudud region in central Somalia.

SNA-Radio Mogadishu said the militant was member of the group’s guerrilla section, adding that he came to areas under SNA and local forces’ control secretly, and he was arrested following intel reports regarding to his presence in the area.

Al-Shabaab militants carried out deadliest attacks at SNA bases in Galgudud and southern parts of Mudug region under Galmugud State in the past six months, despite Government’s offensive operation there.

Last week, Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency(NISA) said that it captured a ‘wanted’ operative, Muhyadin Daqare who was a senior member of Al-Shbaaab and a subordinate ringleader for Ahmed Diriye in an operation in the capital Mogadishu.
