Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sh. Mohamud has on Wednesday canceled his trip to Manama, Bahrain where he was expected to attend the 33rd summit of the Arab league.Instead, Prime Minister, Hamza Abdi Barre will represent the president and the country to the 33rd Arab Summit which is expected to happen tomorrow on Thursday, May 16, 2024 and focus on Gaza, in order, to propose ceasefire and push for a Palestine State. The leaders also supposed to have a unified stance on regional issues.In a crucial meeting on Tuesday, the Arab Ministerial Working Group convened to fortify strategies supporting Somalia’s independence and territorial integrity. This gathering precedes the significant Bahrain summit scheduled for Thursday.Foreign Ministers from several Arab countries, including representatives from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Mauritania, Djibouti, and Somalia, discussed the implementation of League Council Resolution No. 8988. This resolution is pivotal in defending Somalia’s sovereignty against external threats and internal unrest.This is the second foreign trip that President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud cancelled to participate it.President Hassan Sh.
