Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sh. Mohamud on Thursday received a delegation led by European Union Special representative for the Horn of Africa, and the red sea, Annette Weber at his office in the capital Mogadishu.

The President and Ms. Annette Weber discussed several issues including the EU’s position of the current diplomatic row between Ethiopia and Somalia, security and counter-terrorism collaboration between Somalia and the European Union.

President Hassan appreciated the EU’s support in reaffirming Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“H.E. @HassanSMohamud met with EU’s Special Representative for HoA @EUSR_Weber. Discussions centered on Somalia-EU security and counter-terrorism collaboration. The President expressed gratitude for EU’s support in reaffirming Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity”, Villa Somalia said.

The European reaffirmed Somalia the full support of the European Union to the unity, the sovereignty and the territorial integrity of Somalia following the MoU between Ethiopia and Somalia, giving sea access to Ethiopia which resulted in diplomatic tension between the two neighboring countries.

The Somali Government received international solidarity over respects of its sovereignty and territorial integrity from the United Nations, the African Union, Arab league, OIC, European Union and other countries like the United States of America, Turkey, Egypt, Eritrea, Djibouti and China.
