Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sh. Mohamud on Sunday sent condolence message to the Namibian Government and People over the death of its President, Dr. Hage G. Geingob.

The Namibian President, Dr. Hage G. Geingob passed away at a hospital in Windhoek at the age of 82 according to the Presidency.

“I express my sincere condolences to the people and government of Namibia on the passing of H.E. Dr. Hage G. Geingob, the President of the Republic of Namibia. Dr. Hage G. Geingob was a distinguished leader who devoted his life to the service of his people and was a respected voice on the African continent. During this difficult time, we stand in solidarity with his family and the Namibian people as they mourn the loss of a great leader”, President Hassan Sh. Mohamud said on X post.

“The Namibian nation has lost a distinguished servant of the people, a liberation struggle icon, the chief architect of our constitution and the pillar of the Namibian house. At this moment of deepest sorrow, I appeal to the nation to remain calm and collected while the Government attends to all necessary state arrangements, preparations and other protocols”, Namibian Presidency said in a statement.
