Dar-es-Salaam(Mogadishu24)-A delegation, led by Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre of Somalia, has arrived in Dar-es-Salaam, the capital city of Tanzania, ahead of the Africa Human Capital Heads of State Summit scheduled to commence on Tuesday.

The purpose of the Prime Minister and his delegation’s visit is to represent Somalia and address the country’s human capital growth priorities at the summit.

According to the World Bank, the two-days summit will bring a button-up demand to human capital privatization and investments and addresses learning poverty and the skills gap for youth and women.

The summit aims to focus on “linking investments in human capital to economic growth and harnessing the demographic dividend.” Important discussions are scheduled to take place, addressing issues such as learning poverty and bridging the skills gap for youth and women.

The event will serve as an important platform for African leaders to collaborate, share insights, and discuss actionable strategies towards unlocking the continent’s economic growth potential.
