Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Federal Government of Somalia welcomes the United Nations Security Council’s Resolution, calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, Palestine Monday, indicating it a step towards fostering peace and stability in the region.

“Somalia vehemently advocates for an end to the conflict in the Gaza Strip, the safe return of displaced individuals to their homes, and the realization of a viable two-state solution. Sustainable peace and security in the region can only be achieved through genuine dialogue and mutual respect“, Ministry of foreign Affairs of Somalia said in statement.

The Ministry added that Somalia urged for robust support and commitment from all stakeholders to ensure the success of this resolution.
