Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Somalia’s Ministry of Education released the 2022 Secondary School examination results on Saturday for over 35,000 students who sat for exams last year.

Female students have achieved impressive performances, securing six out of the top ten positions. In addition, female candidates occupied two of the top three positions.

Leading candidates were Deka Mohamed Abdullahi, closely followed by Fatuma Abdullahi Ahmed, while Musa Mohamed Hassan Noor and Abdisalan Salah Abdullahi shared the third spot.

Federal Minister of Education, Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir, extended his congratulations to the 2023 candidates and acknowledged the important role of parents in this accomplishment.

“Congratulations to the students who successfully passed the 2022/2023 secondary school examinations. I urge these students to perceive this accomplishment as the beginning of their journey towards success. Their parents’ unwavering support and encouragement will guide them to fulfill their educational aspirations and become the future pillars of our nation,” stated Farah Sheikh, the Minister of Education.

Furthermore, Prime Minister of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, conveyed his heartfelt felicitations to the students and honored the top-performing individuals, alongside acknowledging the efforts of the security forces during the examination period.

The Prime Minister lauded the Ministry of Education, Heritage and Higher Education, as well as all contributors involved in conducting this exam, a milestone maintained for nine consecutive years.
