Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre on Wednesday received Charles Mballa, Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to the country and his delagation here in Mogadishu.

Prime Minister Hamza and UNHCR Envoy discussed on the situation of the refugees and the internally displaced people and ways to change their humanitarian assistance in Somalia into developing projects, in order to get lasting solution to routine displacements.

Hamza underscored the importance of preparedness to the likely impacts for following rainy seasons according to the office of the Prime Minster.

The office said that Mr. Charles Mballa promised working closely with the Government in ensuring issues of common concerns.

“Today,@UNHCRSom Representative Mr. Charles Mballa had a productive meeting with H.E the Prime Minister of Somalia @HamzaAbdiBarre, engaging in discussions aimed at advancing solutions & enhancing coordination in Somalia”, UNHCR said on X after the meeting.

Charles also held talks with Speaker of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur Madobe on Monday.
